Colours of Vietnam
Colours of Vietnam is a 264s length video by msp posted on Vimeo on 2011-02-07 05:41:53.
Vanessa here with my third and most epic Vietnam installment: Colours of Vietnam. The theme for this video is “Ow! My Eyes!”
When you come from a place like Perth, Western Australia (where most things are either brown, grey or beige), the thing that strikes you most about Vietnam is the vibrant colours. Everything from their motorcycle helmets to their most sacred buildings are drenched in the boldest, brightest colours imaginable.
This video is divided into four chapters: Red, Blue, Green and Yellow. The reds of the temples and communist billboards, the blues of the oceans, the greens of the military relics and endless vegetation, and an entire town painted yellow. These are the colours of Vietnam.
Apologies if the colour grade gives you a headache – I couldn’t resist a ‘little’ artificial enhancement.
If you haven’t already checked my previous two installments, Water Features (http://www.vimeo.com/15479538) and Windows to the East (http://www.vimeo.com/19116092), maybe watch them first before this one to get the full experience.
